Bacon Salt (Homemade Seasoning)

A savory, smoky seasoning blend made from crisp cooked bacon and spices. Ideal for eggs, potatoes, pancakes, vegetables and gift jars.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon

  • 1½ tbsp good-quality salt

  • 2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon
    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
    Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
    Arrange bacon slices on the rack and bake 15–20 minutes, checking after 15 minutes to prevent burning.
    Pat cooked bacon with paper towels to remove excess fat.

  2. Blend the seasoning
    Allow bacon to cool slightly.
    Place bacon, salt, pepper and paprika in a food processor.
    Pulse until the mixture reaches the desired texture — coarse or fine.

  3. Store
    Transfer to an airtight container.
    Use a clean spoon each time to keep it dry and fresh.

  • Store in the refrigerator for longest shelf life.

  • Use smoked paprika for extra depth.

  • Sprinkle on eggs, popcorn, roasted vegetables, pancakes, salads, potatoes and sandwiches.

Baconsalz aus knusprigem Bacon, Salz, Pfeffer und Paprika. Ideal für Eiergerichte, Salate, Gemüse, Kartoffeln und herzhafte Pfannkuchen. Perfekt als Geschenk aus der Küche.

Baconsalz (Selbstgemacht)

Aromatisches, würziges Salz aus im Ofen geröstetem Bacon. Vielseitig einsetzbar für herzhafte Gerichte.

Zutaten

  • 500 g Bacon

  • 1,5 EL Salz (gute Qualität)

  • 2 TL schwarzer Pfeffer

  • 1 TL Paprika edelsüß

Zubereitung

  1. Bacon rösten
    Backofen auf 180°C vorheizen.
    Ein Backblech mit Backpapier auslegen und ein Rost daraufstellen.
    Bacon auslegen und 15–20 Minuten rösten.
    Nach 15 Minuten kontrollieren.
    Mit Küchenpapier entfetten.

  2. Mischen
    Bacon etwas abkühlen lassen.
    Zusammen mit Salz, Pfeffer und Paprika in den Food Processor geben.
    Pulsieren, bis die gewünschte Konsistenz erreicht ist.

  3. Aufbewahrung
    In luftdichte Behälter füllen.
    Für längere Haltbarkeit im Kühlschrank lagern.
